iPhone – The latest gadget that everyone wants to own
Today is the day, well for Americans only
that Apple release their long awaited iPhone. I watched the so called “iPriest” video (great quote Cali Lewis), and I saw read a lot of the news articles here in Australia and abroad, and watched the several stories on my local television daily news bulletin. Now the iPhone won’t cross the Pacific Ocean until January so any Aussies reading this, don’t get your hopes up. The queues at the AT&T and the Apple Stores in the States have been reported to be huge, and I personally think that the iPhone is deservant of such a reception. This is a well designed gadget, and will be a huge hit. Just one side note, the AT&T network that the iPhone will be exclusively using is their EDGE EVDO network [citation needed]. I have surfed the internet on Telstra’s EVDO network and i think that the speeds are crap compared to 3G and HSDPA (High Speed Data Packet Access, what Telstra’s Next G network is based on). It turns out that everyone that has reviewed the iPhone at the moment has said that the network is very ‘pokey’. Hopefully another network will pick up the iPhone.
Also, on an off-topic side note, our views ticker is on 499 views. One to go until we reach the 500 mark. Not bad for a one to two month old blog
And sorry, we will definitely not be offering any prizes to the 500th visitor.
